    When signing your name to a contract, make sure you add your title or role in the transaction at the end of your signature. This “discloses” that you are signing in a representative capacity, e.g. John Smith, Vice President of ABC, Inc. This is important because the agent of a disclosed principal is not liable for the debts of the disclosed principal. Including the “title” and company informs other parties of the principal’s identity and the agents capacity.
